Keep one answer with its context.

Find exact brand text and explicit URLs in an answer you supply. Save the original question and observation context without turning one answer into a visibility score.

Add the original observation context

These fields are supplied by you. The tool does not verify the provider, market or collection date.

Inputs stay in this browser. This review does not fetch a URL, run ChatGPT or verify a citation. Read the repeatable tracking method and check current collection coverage.

Review one recorded answer honestly

Paste an answer you already collected, including explicit source links. Enter the brand and, optionally, the owned domain. Add the original question, recorded date, market, language and observation surface when known. Unknown fields remain unknown; the time of this local review is not substituted for the collection date.

The tool finds exact name occurrences and links present in the supplied text. It does not verify the provider, run a new ChatGPT query or infer hidden sources. The illustrative example is constructed text, not a real provider response. The tracking guide explains how to preserve a real observation.

What the supplied example actually shows

The “Load illustrative answer” button uses constructed text containing Northstar once and three explicit URLs. With northstar.example as the supplied owned domain, the expected review is:

ItemLocal result
Exact brand mention1 text match; read its context
northstar.example/help/setupOwned-domain link
independent.example/criteriaOther-domain link
northstar.example.other.test/comparisonOther-domain link, despite the similar name
Recorded collection dateUnknown; not replaced with today
ChatGPT provenanceUnverified visitor-supplied text

That result supports checking a saved record. It does not establish live visibility, verify that the URLs appeared as citations, or provide a percentage. The JSON retains the supplied text and context; the source CSV omits the full answer.

One supplied answer produces exact text matches and explicit link classifications while original provenance and collection date remain unverified.
Review boundaries for the constructed example: a text match, an owned-domain check and a verified provider observation are different facts.Open the figure for a closer look.

Separate text matches from verified interpretation

An exact name match may be a recommendation, a neutral reference or a quoted comparison. Read the surrounding excerpt before classifying it. Aliases, spelling variants and implicit references need manual review.

An explicit link found in pasted text is not independently verified as a citation. Ownership compares the supplied domain boundary; a look-alike domain should not count as an owned page.

Build a baseline before describing visibility

A single answer is one observation. It cannot estimate all users, all questions or an engine-wide share. A missing mention is not a zero visibility score.

For recurring measurement, use an approved set of questions and the AI visibility measurement method. The current live product scope is described on the platform coverage page.

Keep an export that matches the finding

Download the JSON review record to keep the original supplied answer, context, text-match excerpts, explicit links and an unverified-source note together. The source CSV has one row per extracted link and keeps the observation context; it excludes the full pasted answer. An answer with no links still has a context row.

Changing an input clears the previous result so an export cannot silently describe an earlier answer. Both exports are created locally. Review their contents before sharing them. To collect new answers, check current platform availability and the account workflow; this local review does not start a collection.

Questions, answered.

Is this a live ChatGPT visibility test?

No. It reviews an answer you supply. It makes no provider request and cannot verify that the answer came from ChatGPT.

Why is there no visibility percentage?

One supplied answer has no representative question-set denominator or verified collection coverage. A missing exact brand match is not a zero visibility result.

What counts as an owned link?

The supplied domain or its subdomains match the domain boundary. A look-alike hostname is another domain. This is a local hostname classification, not verification that a link was a citation in the original interface.
